

The Club is the leading developer of young talent in the state.ĭuring this time the club has come up with some fantastic ideas and innovative plans to ensure the strength of the club continues long in to the future. Since 2000, the Club has dominated the local premier league winning 3 premiership, 8 Champion of Champions, 8 night series and 2 Boral Cups. Grand extensions to its facilities were built. However, in 2000 its recovery was well under way. Its Italian roots rest in the history of its glorious past.Īfter losing its quality players, the Club struggled in the years 1994 to 1999. In 1995, to broaden its appeal, members overwhelmingly voted to drop “Italia” from its name.

True to plan, the Club quickly proved itself as a force in local football, becoming premiers for 5 consecutive years (1989 to 1993). On the site the Club built magnificent new facilities. The new Club adopted Dorrien Gardens as its home, a place already renowned for quality football as it was the home of Perth Azzurri. The new Club’s mission was to dominate local football competitions and become a springboard for a team in the national competition. It was formed in 1987 as a result of a decision by the two clubs that dominated local football at the time, Perth Azzurri and East Fremantle Tricolore, together with a fast growing Balcatta Etna, to form a super club called Perth Italia Soccer Club.
